Smithville Parks and Recreation offers three park shelter houses, use of our maintained baseball fields, various sizes of soccer fields, and access to Smithville senior center to host birthday parties, family reunions, graduation parties, meetings and more.
Heritage Park Shelter House
Located on Main Street (DD Highway), just east of Downtown, Smithville. 328 E Main St.
Heritage Park Shelter house is near Heritage Park playground, Heritage Park green space, and has access to restrooms.
Smith's Fork West Shelter
1601 DD Highway
This shelter house has a large parking lot, restrooms, and a playground. Electricity is available at this shelter house. The West shelter house is closest to the playground.
Smith's Fork East Shelter
1601 DD Highway
This shelter house has a large parking lot, restrooms, and a playground. Electricity is available at this shelter house. The East Shelter is closest to the parking lot.
Helvey Park Shelter House
1 Helvey Drive (just west of Dam Road)
This new shelter house, built by the Kiwanis club, will be available for reservations in Spring 2021. Helvey Park offers approximately 15 acres of parkland, including a 10-acre stocked lake, picnic tables and large shade trees. A state fishing permit is required to fish at Helvey Park.
Located at 113 W. Main Street
The Senior Center is available for birthday parties, baby showers, family reunions, meetings and more. Includes tables, chairs, access to restrooms, and access to a kitchen.
Girl Scouts Special Use Area
Located at Smith's Fork Park

The Girl Scout Special Use Area is currently being upgraded by local Girl Scouts and will be open for reservations soon.
